Team Good Wookin' Out podcast featuring music and news from the scene, hosted by Wooks with Dayjobs.

Wookies With Dayjobs is a podcast/community/whatever created by Team Good Wookin' Out, the people who brought you the Week Old Jam podcast, Wookbook.org (now defunct), Joshua Colky's "Bad Wookie, No Mixtape" and a slew of other community related art, writing and music projects. As part of our focus to continue to garner attention for our projects, talk ad-nauseum about Jambands, etc - we are starting back up a "Week Old Jam" style podcast called "Wookies with Dayjobs".
When searching through the interwebs, one can find many many Jamband related podcasts - our good friends at This Week on Lot covers much of the jamband scene but has a pretty major +Phish focus, and many other quality podcasts are floating around the interwebs for your listening pleasure. However, despite the fact that we are untrained, inexperienced, virtually unintelligible, etc - we're doing this for fun. Hopefully we'll gain followers, other contributers, and make a nice big old splash. But if not, who gives a shit as long as we're having a good time.
The podcast that was once Week Old Jam became entitled Wookies with Dayjobs because, as indicated by the name, all the participants who work with the Team Good Wookin' Out crew all have dayjobs. We cannot do a weekly podcast, unfortunately. I can speak for myself personally that with job, school (Coursera.org baby!), tour (plushy-weekend-warrior-stylie), personal life, other Team related projects, that there is no way we can put out this podcast weekly. We're thinking bi-weekly to gather content, concepts, collaborators, etc - but really, it's all up in the air and is meant to be. Who wants to organize? Sure as shit not me.
What can you expect? I'm not 100% certain yet. Probably alot of babbling with selections of awesome music from the Archive, as well as other bits and pieces we can pull from random resources. We will update news and information here on the website with some frequency. You can expect guests, at some point, who will talk about wide varieties of shit here in the scene. We're mostly +Grateful Dead and +Umphrey's McGee, +Widespread Panic and +String Cheese Incident fans here, so I'd expect much of that, but really we'll likely touch upon all things coming through #Denver and the left coast.
So yeah, we rep Umphreaks, Deadheads, Spreadheads, Cheeseheads, Brahlarado, the Best Coast, the Rocky Mountains and the beautiful Deserts Beyond the Divide. You like that shit? You just might like us.
